The Wigmore Medical team visited West Ham’s Chadwell Heath Training Ground to catch up with ZO Skin Health Ambassadors Grace Fisk, Maisy Barker, and Kateřina Svitková and learn more about their journey to healthy skin. The ambassadors have been following a ZO Skin Health regime, prescribed and tailored to their individual needs and skin concerns by Dr Raul Cetto, the team’s official Skin Consultant. Here is what the players had to share with us:
How has your new ZO skincare regime changed your attitude to skincare?
Grace: ZO has really helped me and taught me a lot of things about my skin which I didn’t know before. Dr Raul has been really helpful, teaching me what’s good and what’s bad for my skin.
Maisy: Seeing the improvement of my skin since using ZO has really motivated me to stick to my routine. If you stick to it, the products will work. It has pushed me to look after my skin a bit more and understand what I need to do to make sure my it is where I want it to be.
Kateřina: I feel the regime is much healthier. After the team showed me what my face would like when I’m 80, I just started putting more thought into what goes on my face every day.*
How did you previously look after your skin - what did you use?
Grace: I went through a lot of over-the-counter products. I didn’t really know what and when to use, what kind of products or active ingredients. ZO have been really helpful for me, they have medical science behind their products, so they are safe for me to use and have the right ingredients that help my skin and not harm it. It’s a big difference from what I was using before.
Maisy: I just used basic products, because I didn’t understand my skin that thoroughly. So, I’ve been speaking to the team at ZO to understand what I need for my skin, the products at ZO are so individual, I think that helps a lot.
Kateřina: would normally wash my face and that was all I did.
How does the regime fit into your lifestyle?
Grace: My new regime is quite intense – it’s an morning and evening routine. It takes commitment but ZO have made it really easy for me. It’s a step by step routine, I know when to use each product and it is a lot easier to follow.
Maisy: I’ve been using the products for about eight months, so I’m used to applying them morning and evening. It’s part of my morning routine now and it gets me ready for the day.
Kateřina: I like that it is a morning and evening routine, it doesn’t take too much time, it’s really easy to follow.
What's the most useful thing you've learned since starting the regime?
Grace: The most useful thing is probably protection from the sun; making sure that I apply SPF protection even if it’s not sunny outside. The sun can harm your skin even through clouds and you don’t that long-term.
Maisy: Understanding that everyone’s skin is different and being patient with the products because they will work. But everyone reacts differently to products, so just being patient and working with the ZO team to make sure I get what’s right for my skin. Ultimately, what works for me might not work for someone else.
Kateřina: Before I got to learn about ZO Skin Health products, I didn’t really know I should care a bit more about my skin. Especially with sunscreen, I wasn’t aware that even if don’t get a sunburn, my skin can still get damaged. I
